2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Returns With 600 HP and Track-Focused Performance

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee is making its return with more power, sharper handling and several mechanical upgrades aimed at drivers who want a muscle car built for both the road and the track. Dodge has revived one of its most recognizable performance names and given it its most powerful Sixpack setup yet.

At the heart of the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee is an upgraded twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine that now produces 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive comes standard. A newly introduced rear-wheel-drive mode allows drivers to send all available torque to the rear wheels, giving the Charger a more traditional muscle-car driving experience whenever conditions allow.

According to Dodge, the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and completes the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds, putting it among the quickest production Chargers ever offered with a six-cylinder engine.

Larger Turbochargers Deliver More Power

The biggest mechanical upgrade in the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee comes from its revised Hurricane engine. Dodge has fitted a pair of larger 56-millimeter Garrett Motion turbochargers, allowing the engine to move approximately 7.5 percent more air than before.

The additional airflow increases peak output while also improving torque delivery. Maximum torque now arrives at 3,000 rpm and continues through 5,900 rpm, providing stronger acceleration across a wider section of the rev range instead of concentrating performance only at higher engine speeds.

Rather than increasing power through software changes alone, Dodge combined the larger turbochargers with hardware upgrades designed to support higher airflow and maintain performance during repeated hard driving.

Cooling System Receives Major Upgrades

Higher performance creates more heat, so Dodge redesigned much of the cooling system for the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee.

The company says cooling capacity for the high-temperature radiator has increased by more than 50 percent, while the low-temperature cooling circuit now provides more than double the previous capacity.

Additional cooling hardware has been integrated into the front of the vehicle, including auxiliary radiators positioned behind the redesigned front fascia. Engineers also rearranged several front-end components to improve airflow through the cooling system while making room for larger ducting.

These upgrades are intended to help the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee maintain consistent performance during demanding driving sessions, whether on a road course or during repeated high-speed acceleration.

Front-End Design Helps Improve Cooling and Stability

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee receives several exterior changes that do more than give the car a different appearance. Dodge redesigned the front fascia and reshaped the headlights to direct more air through the front of the vehicle, increasing airflow by 30 percent compared with other Charger Sixpack models.

The revised front-end design also improves aerodynamic performance. Dodge says the changes generate more than 100 pounds of downforce at 150 mph, helping keep the front tires planted during high-speed driving.

Hidden behind the front fascia are additional auxiliary radiators that work alongside the upgraded cooling system. Engineers also repositioned several front-end components to create space for larger ducts and cooling hardware without affecting the Charger’s exterior proportions.

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee also features a longer front splitter and a larger rear performance spoiler. Together, these components help balance airflow over the vehicle while adding stability at higher speeds.

Brembo Brakes and Forged Wheels Support Higher Performance

Stopping power has been upgraded to match the additional horsepower.

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee rides on 20-by-11-inch forged wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3tires sized 305/35ZR20 at all four corners. The performance-focused tire package is designed to provide higher grip during aggressive cornering and hard acceleration.

Behind those forged wheels sits Dodge’s largest brake package for the Charger Sixpack lineup. The front axle uses 16-inch ventilated Brembo brake rotors with six-piston fixed calipers, while the rear receives 16-inch ventilated rotorswith four-piston fixed calipers.

The larger braking system is intended to improve heat management and deliver consistent braking performance during repeated high-speed driving, reducing brake fade under demanding conditions.

Suspension Tuned for Faster Cornering

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition receives an upgraded suspension package built around Continuous Damping Control (CDC) dual-valve adaptive dampers.

Dodge also revised several suspension components to improve steering response and reduce body movement through corners.

2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Chassis Upgrades

ComponentUpgrade
Front tension-link bushings25% stiffer
Front handling-link bushings50% stiffer
Front spring rateIncreased by 12%
Rear spring rateIncreased by 6%
Rear stabilizer bar20% stiffer
DampersCDC Dual-Valve Adaptive Dampers

According to Dodge, the stiffer bushings help reduce understeer during cornering, while the revised spring rates and stronger rear stabilizer bar improve overall chassis balance. The adaptive dampers continuously adjust suspension settings based on driving conditions, allowing the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee to remain comfortable during normal driving while delivering greater control when driven aggressively.

These chassis upgrades work alongside the wider tires, larger brakes and revised aerodynamics to create a more capable performance package than previous Charger Sixpack models.

New Drive Modes Unlock More Performance

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee introduces several software upgrades that allow drivers to adjust the car’s behavior for different driving conditions. Dodge has added dedicated Track Mode and Drag Mode, each with its own calibration for the engine, transmission and chassis.

Track Mode sharpens steering response, raises shift points and adjusts the traction and stability systems to allow more aggressive driving on closed circuits.

Drag Mode is designed for straight-line acceleration. It changes the suspension settings by reducing front rebound while increasing rear compression, helping transfer more weight to the rear tires during hard launches for improved traction.

Torque Reserve Returns With Faster Launches

Dodge has also brought back its Torque Reserve system for the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee.

When the driver presses the brake and accelerator at the same time, the engine increases airflow while temporarily delaying ignition timing. This allows the larger turbochargers to build boost before the vehicle starts moving.

As soon as the brake pedal is released, the stored boost is immediately delivered to the wheels, reducing turbo lag and producing stronger acceleration from a standstill.

Launch Control works together with Torque Reserve, giving drivers more consistent starts during repeated acceleration runs.

Race Prep Keeps the Engine Cooling After Shutdown

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee becomes the first Charger Sixpack model to feature Race Prep.

After the engine is switched off, the electric cooling fan continues operating for a short period to lower engine temperatures. This helps remove excess heat from the engine bay after spirited driving and reduces thermal stress on major components.

While the feature is especially useful after track sessions, it can also help during everyday driving in hot weather by improving heat management after extended periods of heavy engine load.

Drivers Can Switch to Rear-Wheel Drive

Although all-wheel drive comes standard, Dodge has given the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee a dedicated Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Mode.

A new button mounted directly on the performance steering wheel allows drivers to disconnect the front axle and send 100 percent of the available engine torque to the rear wheels.

This gives the Charger a more traditional rear-wheel-drive character for drivers who prefer greater control during performance driving. Dodge also includes Line Lock, allowing the front brakes to remain engaged while the rear wheels spin freely, a feature commonly used during burnout preparation at drag strips.

Super Bee Gets Exclusive Exterior and Interior Upgrades

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition receives several styling changes that separate it from other Charger models.

Two new paint colors join the 2027 lineup: SuckerPunch, a bright yellow-green finish created specifically for the Super Bee, and Shady, another new exterior color introduced for the model year.

Buyers can also choose Diamond Black, which adds contrasting SuckerPunch accents on the rear spoiler and front fascia. Dodge has also created exclusive Super Bee graphics and updated exterior badges that identify the new performance model.

Inside the cabin, the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee features newly designed performance seats with Super Bee branding, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with the dedicated RWD mode button, larger aluminum paddle shifters and a unique instrument panel badge reserved for the Launch Edition. These upgrades give the cabin a more performance-focused appearance while matching the mechanical changes made beneath the bodywork.
