Ford is bringing back an option for a two-tone paint scheme that will be available on the 2027 Ford F-150. The Two-Tone package includes a contrasting color painted area extending from the floor line up to the waist line of the truck. This styling is based upon the designs of Ford Pickup Trucks from the 1970’s & 1980’s; such as the Bumpside & Dentside F-Series.
Instead of creating a replica of one of these older trucks, Ford has applied the traditional two-tone paint treatment to the current 2027 Ford F-150. The Two-Tone package will be available through the Ford Custom Garage and will only be offered to customers who purchase an XLT or Lariat trim level with the SuperCrew cab and 5.5 foot bed and 145 inch wheelbase.

The 2027 Ford F-150 two-tone package is restricted to specific configurations.
The available setup includes:
- XLT trim
- Lariat trim
- SuperCrew cab
- 5.5-foot bed
- 145-inch wheelbase
The package is not available across every 2027 Ford F-150 configuration. Other trims, cab styles, bed lengths, and wheelbases are not listed as eligible for the two-tone treatment.
Three accent colors are available:
- Oxford White
- Carbonized Gray
- Agate Black
Ford has indicated that additional accent colors could be added later, but it has not confirmed which colors will be offered or when they might become available.
Two-Tone Styling Draws From Older Ford Pickups
Two-tone paint was a common styling feature on Ford pickups during the 1970s and 1980s. The new 2027 Ford F-150package uses that styling theme on the current truck.
The contrasting paint runs around the body between the floorline and waistline. The placement creates a clear break between the main exterior color and the accent section.
Ford’s Bumpside and Dentside pickups are part of the design inspiration. Those generations of F-Series trucks used two-tone exterior treatments that have become closely associated with Ford’s pickup history.
The 2027 Ford F-150 package brings that styling idea back without changing the truck’s basic body design.
Ford Custom Garage Handles the Two-Tone Package
Ford is offering the 2027 Ford F-150 two-tone treatment through Ford Custom Garage.
The program is Ford’s in-house channel for selected limited-edition and dealer-installed vehicle packages. The two-tone treatment is designed specifically for the F-150 and uses the truck’s factory paint finish.
Ford uses a laser-cut line to create the transition between the main body color and the contrasting section. The line provides a clean edge between the two paint colors.
The package is installed as a Ford-backed customization rather than an independent aftermarket paint job.
How Much Does the Two-Tone Package Cost?
Ford has yet to announce how much the two tone package will be. In addition to the base price of a qualifying F-150 XLT/Lariat, the two tone package comes at an additional cost. When this article was first written, Ford had not yet released a price for the two tone package. Therefore, the cost of the two tone package is still unknown.
Customers interested in purchasing the two tone package should contact either Ford directly or their local Ford dealer to get the most up-to-date pricing.
Three Accent Colors Are Available
The 2027 Ford F-150 two-tone package currently comes with three accent colors.
Oxford White provides a white contrast, Carbonized Gray uses a gray accent, and Agate Black provides a black accent.
The accent color is applied separately from the truck’s primary exterior color. The three choices allow different levels of contrast depending on the main paint color selected for the truck.
Ford could expand the color selection later, although no additional colors have been confirmed.
Configuration Requirements Limit Availability
The two-tone package is not available on every 2027 Ford F-150.
The truck must be an XLT or Lariat with the SuperCrew cab, 5.5-foot bed, and 145-inch wheelbase. These requirements narrow the configurations that can be ordered with the factory two-tone treatment.
A customer selecting another F-150 trim, cab, bed or wheelbase cannot add the package under the current availability information.
The configuration requirements should be checked when ordering the 2027 Ford F-150, particularly if the two-tone appearance is an important part of the specification.
The Package Changes Appearance, Not the Truck’s Hardware
The 2027 Ford F-150 two-tone package is an exterior appearance option.
It does not add a different engine, suspension system, bed, cab, towing system, or other mechanical equipment. The package changes the exterior paint treatment while leaving the truck’s underlying configuration unchanged.
The package also avoids the need for an independent aftermarket paint job because Ford Custom Garage handles the treatment using a factory-matched finish.
Ford Has Not Confirmed Additional Colors
The 2027 Ford F-150 two-tone package will have at least three color choices in addition to the base color: Oxford White, Carbonized Gray and Agate Black.
Ford said they may offer other color options for the two-tone package in the future; however, the company did not provide a list of those additional colors nor a date of when those colors would become available.
Therefore, if a customer wishes to order the two-tone package now, they need to choose one of the three colors offered today instead of waiting for a possible new color option in the future.
What to Know Before Ordering
The 2027 Ford F-150 two-tone package has several important limitations:
- It is offered through Ford Custom Garage.
- It is available on XLT and Lariat trims.
- It requires the SuperCrew cab.
- It requires the 5.5-foot bed.
- It requires the 145-inch wheelbase.
- Oxford White, Carbonized Gray, and Agate Black are the available accent colors.
- The package costs extra.
- Ford has not announced the package price.
- Ford may add more accent colors later.
The new 2027 Ford F-150 Two Tone Package will be available with the same “retro” treatment that was seen on many of the 1970’s and 1980’s Ford trucks. It appears that the Two Tone Package will only be available on certain XLT and Lariat models. There are currently no official prices for the Two Tone Package nor has there been confirmation as to whether there will be other colors offered in the future.
